Computer vision is a scientific field that assists computers to acquire high-level understanding from videos and digital images. It automates the tasks that the human visual system can do. It includes acquiring, analysing, processing, and understanding high-dimensional data to produce a symbolic representation of data. As a scientific discipline, it is concerned with the theory and technology for building artificial systems that obtain information from images or multi-dimensional data.
