Sotiris Moschoyiannis completed his PhD in Theoretical Computer Science at the University of Surrey and his BSc in Mathematics at the University of Patras, Greece. He is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Computer Science at the University of Surrey. His research is on computational techniques and mathematical methods - control theory, rule-based machine learning, (deep) reinforcement learning - and their applications to the analysis of complex networks.See here https://youtu.be/f2G6ZdPNRTc. He has led several EU and UK funded research projects. He has published over 70 papers and book chapters in peer-reviewed conferences and journals, and won 7 best paper awards. Sotiris is a member of the executive committee of the IEEE Technical Committee on Cloud Computing and the technical committee on IEEE Industrial Informatics.
