Biography

Ravi KASHYAP will join the Estonian Business School in Estonia as a Finance Professor from fall 2021. Prior to that he has taught finance and economics courses at many universities in South Korea and Singapore. He has held senior (and pioneering) roles in the financial industry as a Quantitative Strategist / Product Manager at various financial service firms in New York and Hong Kong, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup. His most recent industry role was at IHS Markit, heading their quantitative products for Asia Pacific and advising investment firms on multi-factor alpha generation models and transaction cost analysis methodologies. He has experience setting the strategy for multi-billion dollar financial service divisions and product managing multi-million dollar quantitative products. He has developed and applied numerous machine learning techniques and related models in the financial industry. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University and an undergraduate degree from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, India.
